When most people think of Industrial Safety Belts they usually only think of those that are required by law to be worn in hazardous conditions. These kinds of safety equipment were manufactured for the sole purpose of keeping the workers from being injured. However there are many other uses for Industrial Safety Belts that you may not be aware of. Some of these other uses include;

Full Body Harness Vs. Lightweight only: Most industrial safety belts are designed with a full upper body harness. There is a thick heavy duty upper body harness that goes around the entire body, even the arms and legs. The thick material used for this type of harness also acts as padding for the worker's body. Some people however find that the extra bulk can be a hindrance when wearing the full body harness and opt for the light weight version.

Combination Harness/Body Harness: Another variation on the industrial safety belts is the combination harness safety belt. This type of industrial belt serves two purposes. First, it helps to keep the workers secure when wearing their protective gears. Second, it also helps to support the worker's torso when the harnesses are being worn. Because of this, the wearer is placed in an upright position instead of in a laying down position which can be dangerous in some situations.

Polyester full body safety harness: Another variation on the industrial safety belts is the polyester full body safety harness. Like its metal counterparts the polyester material acts as padding for the worker's body. As such it is heavier and more durable. However it does have the same end results as its metal counterpart. It helps to keep the worker in a secured position and in some cases prevents injury from occurring. This is due to the heavier than average buckles that are present on the product.

Fall Protection: Like many industrial safety products, the fall protection harness has an extra feature for the workers that make them even more appealing. Many fall protection harnesses are equipped with reflective stripes. In the event that the wearer occurs to fall, the reflective stripes will help to guide the person to safety. Another interesting feature to note about fall protection read harnesses is that they do not have the buckle that you would find on most other types of safety harnesses. Instead the buckles are located at the top of the back so that when the wearer is wearing their hard hat the straps will still hold them up and they will not fall to the ground. This is important for several reasons.

First, the Industrial Safety Belt is one piece of equipment that should never be missing from the work site. By not having the industrial harness worn a worker can easily be hurt or killed because they are not properly secured in any way. If fall protection is not worn, the worker can be pierced by saw blades, pieces of rebar, or any number of other materials that are found in the workplace. In addition, if no fall protection is worn, a worker can easily become trapped in machinery or other dangerous situations where they may sustain serious bodily injuries.
